When Tina Franklin decided to form an acoustic band, with her husband Kent in 2015, her efforts were born from a strong desire to be more creative and return to what she loved most: singing great songs and creating memorable performances.  However, managing a full-time job while pursuing her passion has proved a real balancing act.  "Sometimes obligations take over anything creative.  It takes a great effort to protect that creativity, but tremendously important to have that channel as we age.”, says Tina.   Through the years The Locktenders (formerly 2 from the Heart) has carved out a small but loyal following, performing carefully crafted covers and original songs at venues in and around the Washington, D.C. area.
